Alongside this achievement, Russell also became the first overseas player in IPL history to take 100 wickets and score 2000 runs.
Interesting Fact: Before Russell, Ravindra Jadeja of Chennai Super Kings had achieved the feat of taking 100 wickets and scoring 2000 runs in the IPL.
Considering this fact, Andre Russell has become the second player after Ravindra Jadeja to achieve the milestone of 100 wickets and 2000 runs in the IPL.

Russell also started IPL 2024 with a bang. Playing against Sunrisers Hyderabad, he scored 64 runs off 25 balls and was instrumental in KKR’s victory. In this match, he displayed an all-round game and also took 2 wicketsÂ
